DENIS POIRIER

IN THE MATTER of an appeal to the Umpire by the Claimant
from the decision of a Board of Referees given at
Quebec City, Quebec, on May 11, 1993.
CORRESPONDING FEDERAL COURT DECISION: A-57-96
DECISION
ROBERGE J
The claimant appeals the unanimous decision rendered on May 11, 1993 by the Board of Referees in Quebec City, Quebec, upholding the Commission's decision and dismissing the claimant's appeal.
The Commission had previously decided that the claimant was not entitled to benefits beginning October 25, 1992, because he had not proved that he was available for work.
I refer to the decision I rendered today in the Michel Faucher case, which resembles this case, except for the dates.
For the same reasons that I gave in the Michel Faucher case, I have arrived at the same finding in the case of Denis Poirier.
Consequently, the claimant's appeal is dismissed and the decision of the Board of Referees is upheld.
