  • 16. Implementing the Board's decision

    When the Board allows an appeal, benefits are paid in accordance with the decision, provided that the claimant meets all other entitlement conditions not under appeal.

    The only exception to this is when the Commission appeals the decision of the Board of Referees to the Umpire within 21 days of the Board's decision. The Commission may appeal on the grounds that the Board erred in law or on the grounds that the claimant ought to be disentitled because of a loss of employment due to a labour dispute.
